On the Green Line - solo piano
This solo piano piece was inspired by the Green Line light rail train which runs right outside my window, here in St. Paul - its dinging forms a rhythm in 7/8 time. So, one hand always has repeated notes to represent this, but other elements keep changing. It starts out kind of minimalist, but also gets a little Eastern-European-inspired in the middle (who knows where the train may take you!)
